Our academy educates students who learn differently in a small, structured setting that fosters future community independence. We believe in the power of relationships and emotional connections to fuel each child’s individual development. The Oasis Academy serves students with neurological differences from ages three to twenty-one. We are committed to teaching and guiding our students toward discovering restorative ways to de-stress and regulate themselves, along with promoting emotional development in meaningful ways for the child. We know that with this established framework, our students will develop social emotional, communication and problem-solving skills to help them obtain success in the community and workplace.
The Oasis Academy is open Monday-Thursday 9:00-2:00 and we are year-round.
Foundational Academic Skills Pathway
At the Oasis Academy, we believe in building our student’s foundational academic skills in relation to the real world.
Math- We engage our students visually, and through a sensory experience, to verbally express math concepts, apply knowledge to build computations, and problem solve.
Reading and Spelling- Reading and spelling is taught at the foundational level using symbol imagery for phonological and orthographic processing.
Comprehension and Writing- Through visualizing real-life images, our students learn to express their ideas and thoughts verbally and through a written format.
We offer a high school diploma/GED Pathway using Ignitia curriculum for students who can work more independently following state standards. Ignitia is a versatile, online curriculum with dynamic lessons and interactive features designed for students in grades 3-12
Our school is year-round, and we admit new students on seat availability. There is an application process for all new students.
The Oasis Academy is designed for students on the autism spectrum, however we serve students with various neurological conditions and learning differences.
